Owner, Simone HoSang Designs

Chief Operating Officer, Caribbean Food Delights

Mom. Stepmom. Partner.

Artist.

Simone HoSang is extremely grateful to come from a loving family who allowed her to experiment with food and art at a very young age.  It is no accident her career involves food and design.  She is employed full-time at Caribbean Food Delights, her family's business after graduating with an A.A.S. in Fashion Design from Fashion Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Nutrition & Food Science.

Since 2006, she has gained hands-on experience in the Quality Control and the Research and Development (R&D) Department.  She worked closely with production where she monitored the food safety system, as well as, developed formulas for new products and cleaned up the ingredient labels in their existing products.

Later filling a need for graphic and web design at the company, her focus shifted to creating advertisements, promotional and marketing materials, as well as the company's websites and managing their e-commerce platforms.

Today she finds her balance in R&D and assisting with quality control, mixing the family's secret spice recipe, regulatory standards, packaging design, marketing, web design, e-commerce, production, leadership and team building experiences as the company's Chief Operating Officer.

In collaboration with her partner, she is expanding her design capabilities into interior, furniture, tradeshows and construction.

Community.

Applying her knowledge in nutrition, she volunteered with City Harvest teaching nutrition education classes to children, teenagers, pregnant teens, teenage mothers, and adults in low-income housing.

Today she is involved in her local community as the Executive Vice President of Rockland Business Women's Network (RBWN) after several years as the VP of Marketing and supports community events through Caribbean Food Delights. She is a graduate of Leadership Rockland Class of 2018.

Around Christmas, she bakes Chocolate Stout Cakes for her local police, fire department, ambulance, post office, teachers, bus drivers, co-workers and friends.

Fun and Family.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Just like her mom, she can be found experimenting with several types of recipes including the ones found here on her website or improving upon a favorite recipe she’s made hundreds of times. She looks forward to hosting parties or bringing a dish to a gathering, tasting new dishes or cuisines from around the world and spending time with her kids and partner.
